Max my walls! The Wall Calculator for mass-troop events and resource fests

20 Electro Dragons, 50 Lavaloons, 300% loot fests: wall events turn loot into walls fast. The new Wall Calculator tells you how many raids and hours your walls will take, which loot to search for, whether you finish before the event ends, and the achievement gems you earn on the way.

The Wall Calculator

Every few weeks Clash of Clans runs an event with a mass army: 20 Electro Dragons, 50 Lavaloons, Golden Dragons, Elephant Riders. The armies are cheap and they flatten bases, so players spend the event wall maxxing: search for a village with at least 1M gold and 1M elixir, wipe it, put everything into walls, repeat. The question everyone asks is how long that will take. Now ClashRecord answers it.

What the calculator tells you

  • Your wall bill: every segment from its level to the target, with Wall Rings spent where they save the most.
  • How many raids that is, and how long the searching and the attacking take.
  • How much your Gold and Elixir Storages and your Town Hall hold, drawn level by level.
  • How long it takes to fill your storages from where they are now.
  • Every loot threshold side by side, with the fastest one marked.
  • Whether you finish before the event ends, and if not, how many walls you will.
  • The battle achievements your raids complete, and the gems they pay.

Why 1M is the sweet spot

A higher threshold brings more loot per raid, but fewer villages qualify, so you tap Next many more times. The calculator uses one curve for both effects, set from what players report: a 1M village takes about 20 seconds to find, and about one in ten of them holds 2M of each. Ordinary raids count as exactly the threshold and 2M villages as exactly 2M, so the estimate errs on the long side.

TH18, all 325 walls from level 18 to 19 (3.25B), no League Bonus
500K+
2,969 raids · about 30 hours
750K+
1,982 raids · about 23 hours
1M+
1,478 raids · about 20.5 hours
1.5M+
981 raids · about 25 hours
2M+
813 raids · about 52 hours

Holding out for 2M villages cuts the raids nearly in half but more than doubles the time, because each search takes about ten times longer. When you choose a threshold above 1M, the calculator tells you how much time it costs.

Your league pays too

Every win also pays your League Bonus, and the calculator reads your ranked league straight from your account. In Dragon 28 that is 370,000 gold and 370,000 elixir per win at 70% destruction or more, plus 2,750 dark elixir. The same TH18 walls then take about 1,100 raids and 15.5 hours instead of 20.5.

Resource fests are a different event

Resource fests boost the loot every village holds, usually to 200% or 300%. You raid them with a normal army, so the loop looks nothing like a mass-troop event: a good village turns up in 5 to 10 seconds, the attack takes 45 seconds to a minute, and most players leave at 50% once the storages are down. At 300% a good village holds about 2.5M of each, at 200% about 2M, and you can type in any other boost. The calculator keeps the two events apart, each with its own loot bars and assumptions.

Same TH18 walls in a 300% fest, no League Bonus
2.5M+
620 raids · about 10 hours
3M+
511 raids · about 9 hours
3.5M+
434 raids · about 9 hours
5M+
325 raids · about 19 hours

Here aiming above the base pays, the opposite of a mass-troop event: the attack is long and the search is short, so a few more seconds of searching for a richer village are worth it.

Running out of event

Enter how long the event has left and how many hours a day you play, and the calculator tells you whether you finish in time. If you will not, it tells you how many raids fit and how many walls they finish, closest to the target first. You can also choose how many walls to upgrade, and it picks the ones closest to the target.

Achievement gems on the way

Every raid is a won multiplayer battle, so an event moves the battle achievements: Conqueror, Humiliator, Firefighter, Union Buster, Shattered and Scattered and the rest. The 1,478 mass-troop raids above destroy about 4,400 Inferno Towers, most of the way to Firefighter's third star at 5,000, which pays 1,000 gems on its own. Load your village and the calculator shows every star your raids reach and the gems it pays. The Achievements page and every player profile now show the gems each achievement still pays too.

Storages, rings and runes

Load your village and the calculator fills in your Town Hall and league. If you have imported your village in the tracker, it also uses your exact walls and storage levels. Add the gold and elixir you already have and your Wall Rings, and the plan updates as you type. Runes of Gold and Elixir are optional: switch them into the plan and each one fills its storages at once.
